(Indianapolis) The American Milers Club High Performance Series concluded its third meet in seven days on June 15th with impressive performances. The series hosted runners at the distances of 400 meters, 800 meters, 1500 meters, 5000 meters, and 3000 meters steeplechase. Athletes participating included National Champions, World Championship qualifiers, Olympic qualifiers, National Championship qualifiers and American Record Holders.
The series witnessed an overhaul of its stellar Top 50 list for every event hosted with a total of 42 new Top 50 marks. USA National Qualification marks were attained with 21 A-standards and 36 B-standards. With a total of 57 USA national qualifying marks being posted during the series, 33 athletes from the 2013 AMC Series will compete in this weekend's USA National Championships along with several athletes making the USA Junior National Championships.
The American Milers Club High Performance Series showed why it is a true PR Fest yielding numerous seasonal and lifetime best marks for participants. The series witnessed 96 seasonal best marks to the athletes that participated and 58 athletes posted lifetime best performances.
Meet Director, Greg Harger said, "Congratulations are in order to all the participants and all our event volunteers and supporters for the efforts that yielded fulfilment of so many seasonal and career dreams. We wish there was an easy way to share details and stories of all the records and accomplishments generated by the series outcomes. We also want to share our best wishes to all the international athletes that have strengthened our fields and in particular wish all our friends from Canada in their national championships this weekend". Harger added, "Thanks to the shared efforts, support and performances of coaches and athletes over the years we have secured some breakthrough support for the 2014 season and look forward to sharing details as soon as they are finalized"!
